Root Flash a new rom

quick question. rooted my eris but want to change roms. how do i do it? do i have to do the whole process over or can i just install or "flash" the new rom. if so how? sorry if this is general knowledge but i'm new to this and can't figure it out. i keep reading about people flashing new roms but i don't see it explained anywhere. help

Take a look at this post. Very easy instructions just download the rom that you want and put it on the root of your sdcard.

did that but reboot keeps loading current rom. any suggestions?

update: finally got it now loading new rom.
