Froyo for Droid X now available OTA

Got my 2.2 update this morning. Froyo is delicious!

now when will it be rooted? I need the super geniuses to get crackin on that. I'm lazy and not technical enough, so the one button solution works great for me. kthnxbye

I installed it about 11pm CST last night on my DroidX, but honestly I don't see much difference. Flash is working in the Browser, but it's sluggish at times. Also the phone tilts in both directions now which is nice. As for speed, I've heard people say Froyo is like 5x faster than 2.1, but honestly my DroidX with 2.1 ran fast as it was so with Froyo it's about the same.

My only concern was the reports of audio being distorted on Froyo, but this morning on the way into work I listened to This Week in Tech podcast on my DroidX (using Twit MediaFly app) and it sounded great.

What 'perks' are everyone drooling over with Froyo that I'm missing?

It makes me sad the Captivate has been out about the same amount of time and still have no idea when it will get 2.2. Congratulations nonetheless on getting Froyo! Enjoy!
