Froyo update incomplete?

Hi guys, so motorola would FINALLY allow me to update my dear phone from 2.1 to 2.2 I connected my phone via USB cable as I was told to, and I would happily look at the progress bar running till 100% complete!
The problem is that my phone kinda half-updated, some functions changed, but the skin, dial app, messaging app and icons tray still looks as if it was 2.1. Yes I've already checked the about phone section and it says 2.2.1
Did it update incorrectly? what can I do for this matter?

According to recent and old news, icons and general skinning for applications should not change. Also the android skin itself should not have changed, even for Froyo.
