Galaxy S2 camera issue - snowy/fuzzy

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2, 3 months old. Everything was fine with the camera and then all of a sudden it started taking pictures like the following. I have looked everywhere for this exact problem but cant seem to find anything other than red spot, blurryness etc. I'm tearing my hair out trying to resolve this as i bought the phone for my partner off ebay for her birthday.

Beginning diagnostic purposes, go to Settings | Applications | Tap the "All" tab | Scroll down to "Camera" | Upon proper storage information display, Click "Force Stop" and subsequently "Clear data".

Then try open up the camera once again and take a couple shots, and provide feedback if you still encounter the same issue...

Also, would like to know how many camera apps were installed with the device. Camera apps here includes apps that require the use of the camera for another purpose. I've personally come across apps that disable and glitch other apps, especially built-in apps like the "Camera" app on your android device. If you have installed a camera app recently, you could try uninstalling those apps gradually; reboot your phone - and see if the problem is solved.

Cheers for that mate. I'll try it 2moro.

I had a flashlight app which I uninstalled and the camera worked for a few days but it's back to the snowy effect.

Tried everything u said and was still getting the snowy effect. I then restarted the phone and when i switched onto camera, all i got was a black screen. Now it is back to snowy mode as in the photo.

There are no other apps which use the camera as far as i can see.

Thanks.
