Getting the phone but....

I ordered it from the att website but got an email stating it was on backorder :/.. Now im kinda seconding guessing this purchase and wondering how long im gonna have to be stuck with my iphone 3g(its pretty beat up). Anyone have any experience with backordered phones from att?

Well, you could look at it from the point of view that the back order speaks to it's popularity.
Sorry you're having to wait. I don't personally have any experience with AT&T and backordered items.
Can you not upgrade through a retail store like Best Buy or order from Amazon?

Not sure if he got the phone yet but yeah, you can upgrade through Best Buy. That's how I did it, and they even had the phone for 20 bucks cheaper than what ATT was listing on their own site.

OP, you can get the phone for 1 cent here - AmazonWireless: HTC Inspire 4G Android Phone (AT&T) - and they have it in stock.

When I got my centro it was back ordered. It took an extra 2 days. I thought it would be more like a few weeks. Maybe you will get lucky like I did. I have had friends that had to wait 5-8 days though.
