Gingerbread Check In!

Nothing in Erie pa either as of 10:11am :( :( guy in Columbus Ohio claims he got it and he's my neighbor practically I was in Cleveland yesterday so what the Hell lol where's our update!?

K because the original update I manually searched and once people started popping up saying they got it I got it as well :-)

LOL I started a new thread... in regards to getting the new update... Oh well I guess we can use this one...

No update yet here in Palm Springs, CA

I'm a noob to this but I am running unrevoked on HTC Evo 4g. I have a pop-up on my phone now asking me to do a "System Upgrade 4.22.651.2 (109.21MB)" is this the update y'all are talking about? How do I go about updating with unrevoked?

FYI I live in the Houston, TX area.

Thanks

No - that is the original GB release that was pushed out a week or so ago. You shouldn't apply this OTA update to your phone if you are rooted. Look for a new rooted ROM that you can apply instead. (I am not rooted, so can't tell you exactly which one)

They seriously need to bake a new batch, because this ginger was stale on delivery. Since this upgrade my voice to text doesn't work, neither does any of my apps that have compass functions. C'mon Google get it together!

Still no sign of fix for update in Erie pa!?!?!? I attempted all morning and nothing and just now I went to do a firmware update and it says firmware update couldn't be completed !?!? If problem persists contact customer service!?!? Anyone else having this issue!?

6/21 11:27am Nevada, no update yet. Am I one of the few that hasnt recieved the update yet?

Try rebooting (restarting) & if that doesn't work - try pulling battery.
I know after rebooting this AM, it came on for me when I checked for HTC SW updates.

every since I updated to the latest update gingerbread, my (call history) no longer displays how long I was on a call, this is really making me mad, why on earth would this update remove that feature is beyond me, is there a way to get it back to display the length of time I was on a phone call in my call long, this feature has always been on my EVO since I bought it, any help or suggestions guys?

Thanks for the tip but they both do not work. It still keeps asking me if I want the 3.70 updaye and not the 4. something update for gingerbread. Nomunk, aee you sure about that cause I am still on the 3.2 software build and they dont have the timelog on there either. It took that feature off way before gingerbread since I dont have gingerbread and it still doesnt tell me how long I've been on the phone for.

I have had no issues with my phone since the Gingerbread release, and the small maintenance release I got today.

Prior to the GB update I had rooted my phone. When GB wouldn't load on a rooted phone, I reloaded my saved ROM, installed GB and away I went. All downloaded apps work.

For those having issues with trying to get the update, keep pressing the HTC software update option. I had to do this twice today to get the maintenance upgrade and at least three times before the GB upgrade would initialize.

Good luck

When I press "Check Now" it seems it's stuck on the "Checking..." phase. Does this just mean that the update is not available yet?

I had to do a factory reset to get my phone off of stupid...mine was stuck looking for update too. After reset, update was available...still working on bugs though with new system...good luck!

See, that is what I am asking about. It isn't just stuck looking for the update nor I am having problems updating anything. Whenever I click on the HTC Software update. What comes up is this.. "A system update is available.. Would you like to download the following system software update? -System Upgrade 3.70.651.1 (58.11MB) - FOTA update. " And that is the only update that keeps coming up, whether I reboot the cell phone, take out the battery and even factory reset the cell.

Still no voice to text And seems like issue only with evo 4g . Closing all apps now makes sense reload white htc screen tried everything. Is htc really paying attention to user issues been almost 2 weeks and no acknowledgement that anything is in the works. And seems like issue only with evo 4g
