:thinking:There are two bulit-in email client apps: Gmail and Email. Can someone explain to me the Cons and Pros of these two apps as I am unable to decide which one to go. Thanks!

I have a Hotmail and a Gmail account and obviously use the Gmail app for my Gmail.

I believe if you have an android phone u should have a Gmail account as your primary account. You can link it in with contacts, latitude, talk etc.

Nicer layout on Gmail app. Sync folders etc.

Exactly... Gmail is for gmail accounts, and Email is for msn, yahoo and all that.
Gmail has better syncin and you are using Android, so using it as your primary email makes things neater and easier ;)

I have Gmail account and tried the Gmail app but notice the emails I saw cannot be found at a later stage. I am unsure if it is unstable or for what ever reason the seem emails disappear randomly. Any idea?

    I don't use either.

I didn't like the standard email client so I use K-9 instead and I'm happy with it. There didn't seem to be any point in having two email clients so I setup K-9 for my Gmail account as well and now use that for all my email accounts.

    Settings > Labels > Inbox

select how many days to sync.

But if you keep scrolling down your list of emails the older emails should start loading as well.

Thanks for your advice. I now know more about Gmail. By default, it sync 4 days. If I scroll downwards, it will sync another 4 days earlier but the original 4 day email disappears. How can I keep the latest 4 days emails all the time?

I have to use office email as well (and sync to Outlook), and if I set Gmail to primary account, the agenda widget does not show my official calendar.
