GPS sometimes "dies", requiring restart.

I also had the same problem on my previous phone, a Samsung Intercept.

Sometimes when the screen's off for a while and I turn it on, then use a Navigation program (i.e. Google Nav or Waze), the GPS never updates. It still thinks I'm still in the same place. Sometimes it'll wake up and work normally after 2-5 minutes.. sometimes never (until I restart it.)

Any ideas how this can be fixed?

Try using an app like gps injector before launching the navigation app. It's free on the play store.

Thanks for the tip on GPS Injector. It did the trick on getting a GPS fix in my house even, so I bought the $0.99 app to seamlessly integrate it with Google Maps.
