I have the new screen in mine and have not experienced anything like that.
 
It happens, even on stock, the screen flickering isn't ROM related.
@jojo yeah I get that sometimes, I think it happened to me on stock ROM as well so I never mentioned it
 
Yeah I heard of it doing it really bad for someone too, but it doesn't happen regularly enough for me to personally say its a ROM bug

No it is a screen or maybe a device issue. I run nothing but stock as I have yet to get XenonHD to boot on the h631 for some unfreakin known reason to me. Anyway I have not got any issue with the screen like Blu8 mentioned. But what you are talking about I have experienced on a daily bases. I noticed it as soon as I got my h631. I think it is do with bad design of the area around the edge of the screen. It picks up touches from the edges of the screen when the skin on your fingures barely touches the edges. After I got a case that has slightly raised edges on it that sets higher than the screen it helped a lot. But I still get phantom touches periotically while I am holding the phone. I tested this theory by going into Settings/Developer Options and enabled show touches. And it shows the touches around the edges while I am holding it without the case.

That makes total sense
 
I have the CM 12.1 rom from the XDA thread installed 12/29, everything is good, except when I lock the screen i get a Sleep of Death and the only way to get back to a gui is to reboot. any way to fix this?
 
Back up your CM rom, flash the build from this op, back up ONLY the boot partition in TWRP, then restore your current 12/29 backup and restore the boot partition from this build.
