Help Heavy breathing

Ok, slightly weird problem with my phone but sort of amusing. Earlier I turned my media volume on and I can hear what seems to be heavy breathing. As though my phone has just ran a race or had sex lol. Any idea as to why this is happening? Scared the crap out of me when I heard it :(
 
That is a bit creepy! I have been reading a horror novel and if that had happened to me I think I may have had a small heart attack :D

It's not that you have something running in the background that you don't know about is it? A game or web page or music track maybe. You could have a look in running services in the Applications menu.

If not maybe go find the local priest and get him to bless it or something.
 
Haha, its stopped doing it for now. If it starts again I will definitely get it blessed :p
When it started it was at about 2am. I thought something was under my bed :(
I went through every app and force closed it but that didn't stop it. It fixed itself though.
 
Check running services and apps from time to time. When it starts doing ... that next time, check again, see what service or app caused it. Do you have anything event-trigered? Like Locale or something like that?
 
Depending on your denomination.... get your phone to that priest now!!! Only watched Emily Rose again the other day. You are freaking me out now, won't be taking my X8 up to bed with me.

On the other hand you could run a complete system repair / reset using Sony Ericsson Update Service to wipe your phone and then just reinstall a few apps at a time to see if its one of them. The normal blah blah, make sure your contacts are backed up or synced and that you use app brain to save a list of your apps.

The other thing to try is putting it in airplane mode at night and see if this does it.

but seriously, maybe somebody mess with your ringtone/notification/alarm? (it happened to my friend, someone was playing a prank on her)

It's not my ringtone lol, that's slipknot. And I didn't have an alarm set. It has stopped again tho. But next time I'm breaking out the holy water haha.

Hi,

no joke, this just happened to me too. I just stopped playing at the pc and went to the phone. It was low on battery and i plugged it in, either before or shortly after that i heard this breathing.
i checked music player to see if i had some strange song going on, but didnt.
next thing i remembered was this zombie game i played few days ago, but this is already uninstalled.
it stopped cause i turned the phone off and since then it didnt start again.

Could this be some sort of virus? If this was to start in the middle of the night i am gonna get a heart attack....

phone is a milestone (european droid) with stock android 2.1.1


(i googled android phone starts breathing, thats why i found this page)


edit: it was a sound sequenze of this zombie game called "last stand". i just installed it again, and if you start a game youll hear the exact same breathing.
strange, very strange. i uninstalled it days ago. so how could it play this sound all of the sudden?
 
I had last stand installed when it happened the first time but I wasn't on in though. And I force stopped it and it ws still making the noise lol. Then the second time it started I didn't even have the game :p
