Root Help brick??

Please help ... have droidx ... was on ota ginger. tried rsdlite to sbf back to froyo ... now keep rebooting. Rsdlite says manually power on phone. going in circles. have rsdlite 4.8. have done sbf before to get ota updated. was rooted before this ginger mess. please help

boot into recovery...wipe data/factory reset
 
I can't or don't think I can. It just keeps going to motorolla M the white one now for froyo and the the Eye it will show the droid splash then go back to the eye. it keep cylcling to the droid splash then the eye. I have tried to hold power and volume keys ... it will go that screen and say ok to program.

Am I going to have to get a new phone?:confused:
 
No. You are boot looping. get into recovery by holding power+home keys. Once you see the droid guy press the search button. then select wipe data/factory reset.
 
Ok .. I found your link on how to get into recovery. I am trying it now. I have taken the sd card out. I don't know it this is working ... I think it said cant recover. It came back to the screen. I then selected reboot. its cycling again.
 
Before all of this I had froyo rooted then a couple weeks ago I took the ota for ginger. I was trying to go back to froyo to follow the two step update back to ginger with root. Thanks
 
Just so you know. You don't have to remove your sd card when you factory reset. resetting and wiping data doesn't touch your sd card. Only your phones internal data storage.
 
Thank you ... now to get all my stuff back and ginger. i just finished root with z4root. sucks having to set all emails and apps again.

Thank you ... by the way. i have downloaded the 2 part zips. do i put them on my phone card then open to install them .... thx
 
Ok .. I just got all my apps back. you know how it is trying to reload titanium after root and all. got my bootstap back. I didn't have my back up to clockwork anymore so I still lost a lot but it looks like I will be good soon! I'm running part 1 now. Got scared for a minute though because you can't see if its part one or two in the listing when you select. Good thing they were listed in sequence. I just had to pick the first file.

Thank you all for your time to help me. My phone is back and working great with the ginger and pre root. Tethering works great. I just turn data of then on and it works great. It took all day to get my 120 apps back and a ton of updates. Thanks ... I'm loving my phone.
