My wife's s6 became unresponsive to touch after it w was dropped. The back button and home buttons still worked, along with all the physical buttons, but the screen would not do anything. I tried soft resetting, clearing cache, etc. Nothing worked.
So I disassembled the phone thinking maybe there was a loose contact or something, and messed up the screen in the process. It still turns on and I can still soft reset and all, but can't see anything.
I found where I can hook up a USB keyboard, and I have the connector to do that. Tried entering password and all but I can't tell if it is working. After doing so, the computer doesnt seem to see the phone so i dont think it is. Also, how am I supposed to set the phone to file transfer? I know that once the phone is connected to a pc, I still have to bring that drop down up and set the phone to file transfer.
If none if this stuff works, I may just have to buy a new screen just to connect and interact with the phone. She has pictures of our kids on there and we really don't want to lose them. We are not worried about the phone, we just want her pictures.
