Help! I lost the ability to swype.

Actually not me, but I'm helping my friend with her new (used) Razr XT912 phone that she bought online. I was helping her set it up when we found that the swype feature is not working on the keyboard. It is ticked off in the settings.

Am I missing something?

Edit: It's running 4.1.2

Go to Settings (for the phone)
Select Apps
Scroll down to SWYPE
Clear app data
Restart phone
Done

If that doesn't do it,
Uninstall App, Reinstall App

Thanks, clearing the data and restart did the trick!!! Man, if this is what old age and lack of sleep do to my brain, I fear for my family and friends. Sheesh!!
