Well, I've decided to move on from my Galaxy S4. I've narrowed my search down to four candidates. They are all right at my price point, but there is a wide variety of specifications. I would like your opinion too.

If you would have listed the 2015 Moto X Pure, that would be my choice.

I'm due an update and I am stuck between the HTC 10, Sony Experia X or the Nexus 6P but puzzled on which one to go for?

That all depends on what you're expectations are. The devices I chose are all rootable with unlockable bootloaders. Also a lot of development. That way I can stay current with the Android Version and not worry about being "obsoleted".

Update: Got a great deal on a Nexus 6. It's been a wonderful addition.

My wife has a Droid Mini. She loves the small form factor but the phone no longer holds a charge worth a darn. She's due for an upgrade and would like to find another android phone with this small form factor but I haven't seen anything smaller than the Galaxy 7.

Is there such a thing anymore as a good android phone in a small form factor?

The Sony Compacts (4.6" screens, decent specs) may be worth a look.

It looks like a phone that would meet all of her needs except it seems the phone only supports GSM, not CDMA and we are with Verizon. It's weird that Sony doesn't partner with any US carrier and I really don't understand why they removed the fingerprint reader from the version available in the US.

Thanks for the suggestion though. If not for the issue with the carrier it looks perfect for my wife.

Their handsets should function fine on T-Mobile and AT&T. It's only the CDMA-based carriers such as VZW and Sprint that are a problem, simply because nowhere else in the world uses CDMA. Those are a tiny global market, unfortunately. ;)

When I look for Nexus phones on Swappa I think they want too much for them. I see some as high as $290 or higher. I can order a new 32gb 5X from google and pay $249 or whatever it is. Just a thought.
