Help help, s4 speaker got wet, now volume is low

water spilled near my s4 and water ran up to the bottom 1/4 of the phone and got the speaker wet

I picked it up only a second later but now the volume during any audio playback is about 50% what it should be and has a distorted sound to it

how can i fix this?

put it in rice?

it looks like the speaker might be removable by taking that inside cover off, i'm not afraid to do that, could that help?

what about a blowdryer (set to cool )

think i got it, i took the blowdryer to it for about 20 minutes on cool and it's doing fine now...volume is back where it should be

i'm gonna put it in rice over night for the next couple of nights to see if i can draw out any more water

Silica gel (ie the stuff that comes in little sachets when you you buy binoculars, cameras etc) works better if you have any.
