hero constantly moves to the right!

right, i dont know if anyone else experiences this very annoying problem but if anyone has any answers would be much appreciated!

for some unknown reason my hero keeps moving itself to the right, i.e if im on the home screen it will scroll to the screen to the right of it and so on until it reaches the final screen.

if i am in the menu it will scroll through the apps from the first all the way to the last or if i'm sending a text it will scroll across from the input box to the send icon all by itself. its as if im scrolling the trackball but in actual fact im not even touching the phone sometimes!

anyway although it is intermittent its highly irritating ans seems to come in waves haha!

any help would be appreciated!

I would guess at dirt down the side of the trackerball. There's a thread somewhere on cleaning it.

Happens to me sometimes. Try giving the trackball a gental thrashing in all directions. This usually sorts it for me. On one occasion though it was nothing to do with the trackball and a reboot sorted it.

thanks that seems to have helped, did clean it but still happened so guessing it must be somehow software related.... another job well done for htc!
