Hi Super Newbie to Android Cell Phones..

Hi,
I am going to purchase my first phone and I'm looking at the Samsung Intercept for Virgin Mobile. I like the price plan for Virgin Mobile and am just looking for a starter phone. Something to get familiar with.

Is this a good phone to for beginners? Also I have a large digital dvd media library that I am going to convert to mp4. Will it play on the phone and take up the entire scrteen or will it leave black bars around the video?? Thanks and good to be here..

I would skip the Intercept. For me it was incredibly buggy, I returned it in less than a month and got a Samsung Transform (Sprint), this is far better than the Intercept. I would go with the Optimus S (Sprint $50) or Optimis T (Verizon $30) both will run 2.2.
