Honor Flip cover has limited interaction

Hello,

I just received my (official) Honor 5x flip cover, but I am a bit disappointed... I hoped there were interactions possible while having the cover closed. I can't figure out if I can change the screen that's visable when the cover is closed, also I can't figure out if there are possibilities to go thru notifications while the covers is closed.

Does anyone also have the flip cover and knows about the (im)possibilities?

I've buyed the same oficial clip cover...And I'm also some disappointed too, but cause I can't configure the showing icons.
I'd include whatsapp icon or alert when a messages are received, mail, missed calls, and some more... at window when flip cover is closed.
It's posible do that?
