How big a load live wallpaper?

How big a load are these live wallpapers? It's my first experience with them and am curious about their resource use. And by extension, is there an order of magnitude difference between a waving blade of grass and a thunderstorm?

The grass one and other simpler ones seem to use less cpu than the thunderstorm types to me. Not that I've looked to see how much cpu time they take but you can for sure see some stuttering sliding homescreens side to side or opening the app drawer on my inspire with an intense lwp running vs. smoothness sliding homescreens when its a simple lwp or just regular jpg wp.

The second they aren't showing on the screen though (an app launched, etc) they don't use cpu anymore.
