how can i view android emulators file system

    i am developing an android application,in that i need to search the files.I dont have the phone with me .I have only the emulator.I want to see the directories,files in the emulator.I need to add some files also.Can i see the file list through my developing system..???

    can anybody answer me..

    You can use DDMS perspective in Eclipse (you already install ADT plugin, right?).
    In DDMS perspective, choose "File Explorer" tab and you can see list of directory in emulator.
    This tab also provide functionality to Pull/Push file from/to emulator.

    You can use command line and adb shell command for browsing file system by linux standard instructions :
    ls - list current directory
    cd - change current directory, push

    Also you can use push and pull commands for coping file from/to device

    For example:
    adb push file.txt /sdcard/file.txt
    adb pull /sdcard/file.txt file.txt
