Root how do i change....

i just rooted my phone with joeys krim. but im seeing alot better or that have working tethering how do i go about changing it?? im new at this so i hope u kinda understand what im talking about lol!!

k i went to that site and i built my own as it shows to do in there and it put it in a zip file do i just put it on my sd card put in recovery mode and install like i did joeykrim... if so do i just leave the joeykrim on there ... hopefully not confusing for u !!!
 
ok yes put the custom zip on your sd card and then go to recovery choose apply custom zip then just flash it.i was using a custom kernal/rom and kept getting booted off using the wifi tethering then i switched to dream rom with vampiros kernal put the brand new wifi tethering app on and have no problems what so ever.you should go check out sdx-developers.com they have a ton of stuff to try there.just lettin you know since you said you were new.if you need anyother help just ask and as always remember to hit the thanks button when someone helps you.
 
Yes if you chose a custom kernel from the kitchen its included in the update.zip that you put on the root (unless you have recovery 3.1.1 then it goes under /sdcard/sdx/zip) and flash using recovery. To check you kernel on the home screen on the phone hit menu-settings-about phone- under kernel it will show what you are currently running. Note that you can only have 1 kernel at a time.

not completely true if your running recovery 3.1.1 it will automatically put it in the folder for you but to remove it then you have to go to that folder.
 
all i did was put it in my sd card and loaded it up i didnt delete the joeykrim one after i put vampiro in ... but all i can say is my battery life is ****ing good! im sorry but language but yesterday my battery lasted from 730am till about 5 and it was telling me to recharge thats with me sending about 100 text and searching little web and after installing this vampiro one i unplugged at 8am and its 720pm and it still shows i have 80% battery left and i sent about same text and i messed with web!!! its crazy!! and i got my setcpu at 800mhz maxed out.. dunno why its like this but any who how do i uninstall the joey krim one i have on phone also? i have both installed... or that case if i wanted to switch kernals how do i delete one to install other,,,,, thanks for helpo guys
 
ok if you flashed vamp's kernal then you have done all you need to do there is no removing joeys you already did that when you installed vamps. now my suggestion is go to sdx get amstels rom install it then reinstall vamps kernal if needed but shouldn't and see how fast the phone is and battery life is great.
 
im trying to look for the amstel on sdx webstie but cant find it can u help me with a link to it?? also im trying out the new meatkernal that came out couple days ago see how this runs!!
 
im trying this new meatkernal that just came out and on my vampiro kernal i have 3d gallery installed but when i install meat the 3d gallery stays and dont work how do i uninstall the 3d gallery?? ive searched every where for it but cant seem to find where to delete it from
