Help How to add keyboard language?

Hero came with English, French, Italian and Spanish keyboards pre-installed. I've tried Russian keyboard app, but its not really useful without word completion and spell correction. Is there such a thing as android language packs to add another keyboard layouts with dictionaries?

I dont know how many languages pack they have available yet ... but checkout TouchPal Welcome to CooTek - TouchPal, an innovative soft keyboard

The say on the home page 20+ languages ... but on the Market i only see Language packs for French, English, Simple Chinese, and German ...

and email to them might get you more info or their plans for release ...

Reviving an old Thread.
I'm in a similar situation.
I switch back and forth between French and English and I would love my droid to correct my French (I'm fine with either qwerty or azerty, i don't care about that).
I looked up "TouchPal" in the market, but impossible to find!

hey guys i hope you can help, my htc hero with 3 network didn't come with any extra language pre-installed i tried and download applications and i even re installed the rom but still doesn't give an option for keyboard language but the english one, i need to be able to text in german and spanish and it is a pain to do so with the english keyboard, thanks a lot for yuor help guys

In the iPhone the keyboard and the system languages are separated, so this is not a problem... but in the Android it is.

Installing a new keyboard with a different layout and/or different language solves the problem, allowing the phone to be in language A and for the text typed and the suggestions to be in language B.

So, for now, you can search the marketplace for an additional keyboard. To fast change the keyboard you have to touch and hold a text area, and change the method input
