Help How to Drag & Drop in Android

kilgetty

Newbie
I do surveys on my Nexus 7 2013 and some require me to drag and drop answers into the correct position. Is it possible to Drag & Drop on an Android tablet?

Hi

That would depend on whether the app you are using provides that facility. If it does not, could you longpress then copy (button at teh top) and then longpress in the correct field and paste (popup button)?

Yes. If you long press on text two blue handles pop up to bracket that text. You can drag them to encompass all the desired text and select copy. Then long press on the spot where you want the text and select paste.

As near as I can tell you are correct about it being built into an app. If the developer didn't build it in you are left with copy and paste.

The surveys are not in an App the are on a website. A typical question would be to put a list of items into your preferred order by dragging and dropping them into boxes numbered 1 to 10.

Looks like the method described in my last post is your only option, unless there is an android browser that supports drag and drop.
