Root How to upgrade Huawei Ascend from 2.1 to 2.2???

MDKARLE was toying with us when he said that his phone came preinstalled with 2.2. It didnt.

NY its on the step by step rooting thread. I have already helped out akent he just needs the link for Google Talk
 
Okay so today I connected my Ascend to my computer to charge it and I got bored and I was looking around in the phones folders and I found a phone manual. So I was bored and opened it on page 54 it has the link to Huawei's upgrade page. So I visited it and found this:

Software - Huawei Device Co., Ltd..

Check out the top one. i know it says Eclair but it was released on January 21. :)

当前版本主要没解决的问题有：
问题1：同样的3g2视频在C8600的上一版本能播放,但在此版本不能播放；
问题2：无法新建POP3类型的邮箱，Gmail和Exchange都可以；
问题3：idle界面内按拨号盘键，不显示拨号盘界面，只显示上次操作停留后的界面内；
问题4：通话过程中屏幕休眠后按end键挂断电话后屏幕不被唤醒；
问题5：进入文件管理器只有SD卡的选项，没有手机本身的存储信息选项。

the plan was 10/1,but there are some problems.so the plan will be 10/2.

28/1 is the chinese spring festival,if the v2.2 won't come,i think it will be come later in 10/2

I got the same message on the 20th. I got all happy because I thought it was an upgrade...Idk what those BREW messages are about i've been getting them since the first day I got my phone.

Since I can't read Chinese, I asked Google to do it for me, and here's what Google says:

You are most welcome. Some of that obviously won't translate well into English, but to some degree, everybody should be able to get the gist of it. That and it's funny to see how a botched translation reads.

While it is sad to see him go, because he does have a good working knowledge, I'm going to be blunt and say that I will not miss the attitude he seems to carry with him in a lot of his forum posts. The idea of a community forum is to help each other happily, not grudgingly or by often sounding like you need to prove something.

If I offend anyone with this post, that is not my intention, but I will call it like I see it. The last couple of days in the XDA forum's Ascend thread have been a lot of flaming by people who thought it was their job to decide what content was allowed, coupled with a lot of the attitude I mentioned above. For the most part, I haven't noticed that here, and I will say that from what I've seen of the MyAscend forum so far, it does not seem to be heavy on the "I'm great, you're a n00b" sentiment either.

Anyway, off my soapbox, and I will say thanks to joser116 for the helpful content he has offered in his time here, and wish him well with his choice to participate in the XDA forums.

I doubt it, I went to check it out...seems like alot of people asking questions and for the most part snarky comments as responses.
