Help ICS calendar file access and parsing in android app

I need comments on following two questions:

1. Do all web mail servers, and exchange servers maintains "ICS" files in a server directory which can be accessed using "inputstream from url" methodology?
   
   
2. can you guys comment that accessing this ".ics" file, using "inputstream from url" and using "ical4j" library for parsing is the best way in an android application?
