Help ICS still cant use google contact groups for email

Is it just me or are the google contact groups completely useless on the stock Nexus. I hoped to use the for email, but they don't show up in either stock email app.

Is there a market email app that uses the google contact groups? Or have I overlooked a basic setting somewhere.

I use Contacts Group. It works wonderfully for sending group emails,mnot so much for group texts.
