I usually will read the comments before I decide on downloading an app even if I already have an app and the comments are all negative I will not update the app. Now with that said, is there a way you can elect to IGNORE the update and wait for another one in the near future?

Just clear the notification and then you can check for updates whenever via the market

No way to ignore individual app updates in market.

If you use the AppBrain program, you can disable (all) the notices from the regular market, and in APpBrain select to "skip this update" or "skip all updates" for each app.

I have the original beautiful widgets (pre-C&D) and I don't want it updated. When I tapped to "update all" I just opened the BW app directly and canceled the download, it hasn't tried to update since.

I do the same thing. I read the comments before updating my apps. I just ignore the ones that I do not want to update.
