It's all about security. They should still allow a htcdev s-off bootloader out of the box since their own htcdev website voids your warranty.

Totally agree, most people like myself will happily lose the warranty for full s-off but I'm not losing it for the piss pathetic offering we have right now.

If Samsung can do it so can HTC.
