Is there any way to get the ETF waived?

If I switch carriers now? My contract is up on the 3rd of October, but I currently don't have a phone and I get terrible service with AT&T where I live. (1-2 bars)

Sprint has 4 bars where I live, and until the 1st of October I can get a $125 credit if I switch.....

The thought of throwing an extra 50-60 bucks at AT&T sucks :p

Call them and tell them whats going on. I had just bought the iphone 3gs and was dropping well over half of my calls and they waived it when I went back to Verizon. Just tell them whats happening and be nice about it.

Do you think they will give me a problem if I switch out my number first? Would hate to call now and have them be like "Alright, you're canceled!" and lose my number.

Thanks
