Was wondering if anyone has compared battery life with and without it. I also am using batterylife (one word) widget by curvefish to see exact temp and battery percentage.

it only helps if you dont turn your phone on a lot... it just turns data off when the phone is sleeping

Though it does help that Juice Defender turns off data while the phone is sleeping, that's not all it does. There are a couple more options, but to get the full experience, I would suggest purchasing Ultimate Juice from the market. Although I have not personally done extensive testing on this app, I have watched/read many reviews on it and a lot of them say that Juice Defender does help the battery life, although how much depends on your settings.

Yeah and another thing that I forgot to mention is that with a rooted phone/superuser access enabled there are a couple of more options that come with Ultimate Juice (I don't know if they come with the free version). But do whatever you think is best/works for you.

I actually had been using this with my Droid and while it was extremely useful with the MOTO device, it doesn't seem as great on the Inc.
