keyboard help.

while im texting it keeps messing up, nothing showin all letters, and back the keyboard down and bring up full convo so i click on a message. and i know there is a way to fix it, done it once. found it on here, but cant find it again. please help. i know i have to clear something just cant remember. this is soooo oannoying!
