Help Keyboard Problem

When using the native keyboard application, the cursor locks while typing the second word and the keyboard disappears. It returns after deleting the message. Tried multiple SMS applications with same result. Installed GO SMS Pro which works normally. What is the problem with the native keyboard - problem seemed to start after update.
