I haven't got my Eris yet....waiting for delivery. Just wanted to know if there is a place to attach a lanyard. I like to keep my phone on a leash!! LOL!! Thanks!
Yes, looks like there is a VERY small area for this on the bottom left corner...its really small, hard to tell if it is some sort of mic or not...
Thank you. I am hoping there is a place. I have watched every video. And downloaded the owner manual. Just waiting and waiting for the Fed Ex man. Dang thing hasn't even shipped yet!
The microphone is actually located directly above the mini-usb port. The little nook on the bottom left side of the Eris is how you get to the battery/SD card.
I'm not so sure about this "nook". The small hole above the charger port is definitely the microphone (I did a little test by calling my home phone). But, I don't think the nook on the lower left corner is for pulling off the back cover - the groove on the top right is for that. Any ideas? You can get a better look at it by removing the back cover. It seems almost to small to be for a lanyard, but who knows. A quick google-ing reveals that people are selling lanyards for the Eris.
I have seen the lanyards online. I would love lanyard for it but will live without it. I thank ya'll so much for helping me and this website. I am waiting for my Eris and my husband is getting the Droid. We both are so excited. And I know this website will be a huge help considering we both are new to smartphones. By the way know anyone that would like to buy two or four prepaid phones? LOL!!
I can't count the times that a lanyard kept my phone from hitting the pavement. So I have a different opinion about lanyards. Current phone is Rumor2 from Virgin Mobile...no place for lanyard and have dropped couple of times. But still looks and works great. Just am ready for real cell phone again!! LOL!!
I have to agree, having a lanyard on my old phone has saved it from hitting pavement numerous times. Anyone get a lanyard in that tiny hole?
I haven't got my Eris yet...still waiting. But I would like to have the option to put a lanyard on my Eris. (And waiting and waiting...)
lanyard hook is on the bottom left. take the back cover off (like you are accessng the battery). you will see there is actually a hook you can lay the lanyard loop into. make sure it catches and put the case back on and you are good to go. looks a little nerdy but it sure keeps me from dropping the phone
