LG Connect or LG Esteem

Ummm because i have an admire and iim considering an upgrade and trust certain ppls oppinions in the admire forum specifically now dont hijack or comment on the thread unless ur answering the question thnk you.
 
both are nice phones. Connect is dual core and able to overclock to 1.5 with mtmichealson's Blitzkrieg kernel and/or BrokenOut ROM. its smaller than the Esteem with only a 4.0 screen.

The Esteem has a 4.3 screen, can be overclocked to 2Ghz with my Plague kernel and ROMs or with ROMs from mt. The Esteem has more variants of mine n mt's ROMs with a variety of themes available. A CM7 and CM9 port have been started for the Esteem by myself, and I wont start one for the Connect til the Esteems is purty much fully working.

Cant go wrong with either one. Its basically boils down tho screen size ;)

Lol yea thats what ive been hearing the screen is a good diference and that the hdmi and large internal memory on the esteem go a long way, and the dual core doesnt make much of a difference the price point however is attracting, im guessing the esteem is snappier? I also guess you prefer the esteem?

Another thing that is esteem has more memory, well at least according to specs and that can be huge difference with upcomming roms and versatility. Connect has had a bad rap with battery dying fast like the admire does. The plus side is it's dual core is wonderful and with the BrokenOut Rom, it out performs a Galaxy S.

Also forgot to point out Connect has 2x's system memory which also is great.

I know the specs for both phones but thx! The battery info is extremely helpful they both have a cap of 32gb memory i believe but i get what you meant esteem 8gb flash space connect 4gb which phone would u buy? And the ram on the connect is a blessing
 
both are good, but the question is what you prefer...(bigger screen or no, hdmi or no, ect. ect.
 
really comes down to how you use your phone, if you do alot of media the esteems screen is much larger, the body is better built also. If you want the whole navigating while blabbing to someone then get the tiny little connect
 
lol yup many roms available with all of them having different tweaks and all u wont get tired of flashing each one plus soon i will post the moded camera for the esteem to record at 30fps
 
also the esteem came out before the connect and has not lost value thats why the price is still up because its better.

It means there's no onslaught of stutter when recording 720p resolution on this phone, that's one of the reasons i switched and now on my current phone I can record 1080 at 60fps :p
 
both are good phones. the esteem people say buy the esteem and the connect people say buy the connect. i have the esteem and i say the esteem is better for one reason. developer support. and the bigger screen i like too.
 
My cousin just got the Connect...and one thing I will say in favor of the Esteem is that the voice quality on the Connect is bad. He has told me that a lot of people are complaining about being able to hear him, myself included. Could be the cover he is using...but I used two different covers on my Esteem and never had problems with callers telling me I was cutting out or that they couldn't hear me.
 
The Esteem has a larger community and a larger selection of development roms and themes. Make sure if you get the Esteem it's on the ZVD software and you'll experience better battery life and performance. You can't beat 4.3" screen with HDMI on 4G with Metro :cool:
