Just purchased the above from Telstra for use by my wife.

Requires ONLY phone calls, Text and EBook Reader - all other Apps will be deleted/disabled if possible.

Not much info on Web from users re this phone yet. Only released early Nov.

Suggested app(s) for self-created ebooks ( currently using iPod Touch 4 for this)

App, if any, to reduce power usage - already turned off WiFi, Bluetooth, Web, reduced screen brightness etc.

anybody had experience with this handset?

Will post my experiences as I continue to play with phone.

Thanks

ok

deleted everything from screen except
gallery, camera, phone and contacts.

turned of wifi, web navigator and bluetooth.

determined that to download apps from Android Market you need a gmail account.

determined that you need a micro sd memory card in order to add ringtones etc.

This is as bad as Apple!

Found that phone has 2gb micro sd card internal. No mention in literature, docs or box.

Found that phone has Polaris, which is a file manager. Allowed me to access sd card and .apk's copied from my PC ( Linux Mint and Midnight Commander as "su".

select .apk, double tap, yes to install, and all OK.
