Root link2sd app icon problem

A few days ago I got my new 16 gig, class 10 SD card, and I did a full swap, along with partitioning and moving my apps over with Link2SD.

Everything seemed excellent until I rebooted and the apps that I had on my home screen, were there... but with the Generic App icon. Now, I was busy with the holidays, and I chose to ignore it for a few days...but it is really getting on my nerves now.
I tried deleting the apps from the home screen and dragging them back, which worked...until I rebooted and it did the same thing.
I also moved a few apps back to my internal memory to see if that was the problem for sure, and sure enough that fixed the icon problem, but now I am back to having the apps where I don't want them stored.

My evo seemed really fast when I first did the batch app move, but now it just seems to be lagging a bit...

Does anyone have an idea of how I can get the App icons to show up like they are suppose to be?

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am not familiar with links2sd. Were you using dark tremor a2sd previously? If so put your old sdcard back in. Go to terminal emulator(download it if you dont have it). Type su and hit enter. Type a2sd remove. Let it do its thing(it may take a bit). It will reboot. After it does, swap your sdcard. Reboot. Go to TE and type su. Now type a2sd reinstall. Let it run and reboot. You should be good after that.

I don't think I've heard of that ROM or that program. I would get all your apps back onto your phone's internal memory. Then flash the file found here

[Script][A2SD]Darktremor 2.7.5.3 Beta 04 [Evo] (01/29/2011) - xda-developers

Beta 04 should be fine for anything other than a ROM based on Android 2.3.7. If your rom is a 2.3.7 build, then use the one that's not a beta. After you flash that script, it will automatically put your apps onto your partition as well as any apps you install in the future. It's a must-have for any Evo user in my opinion.
