Mantera left but he did so much for this phone ! Thank you btw:) but do you guys think that's the end for this phone ?! Should I get a evo v 4g or galaxy nexus?

Mantera left too? Whhaaat . So No more ics? :(

Galaxy nexus def. but that's in my opinion , you should check data speeds around your area.

Guys, I think its safe to say that the biggest thing we need is that camera for ics, g60 please don't leave us, ics can be perfect if we don't stop, I'm gonna really try to help

Yeah I just want them to fix the camera , not sure whats faster in LA sprints 4g or t mobiles 4g? And yes he said he would post the last build this weekend !

Not too surprised about people leaving, especially since the evo v already has ics... but I'm not shelling out another 300 bucks to a company who never attempted to support the triumph in any way....not even a
mesley 2.3 update... no thanks.....I'll stick with this triumph .

^ I agree. I'm about to switch to Straight Talk and get the LG optimus black. I get no service most of the time, they keep dicking around with our plans because they keep getting phones and 4g they CAN'T afford so they tax us. Its really ticking me offf and I'm about to change

If you going to buy the LG Optimus Black why not get the HTC EVO V 4g? Isnt VirginMobile plans cheaper than straight talk. I know the HTC EVO V is cheaper than the LG Optimus Black. HTC EVO V has way more advantages than the LG Optimus Black.

Umm... they're owned by sprint.. there's not a phone they can't afford. And on top of that, they just use the same phones that Sprint uses.

As far as an ics camera, I'd say it looks dim

G60, stated in his cm7 thread that he has moved to the kinda joined project of mobster and him to create a 100% fully functional gingerbread rom for our phones

He also stated how neither cm7 or cm9 have support for our devices, and the devs themselves have to work hard just to get our phone to run it, then anytime there's an official cm update it breaks pretty much everything causeing the devs to basically start from the beginning just to get it to run again, then they still would have to fix things

All and all its alot of work and pressure

Buy it from Amazon or craigslist? At least the company won't get the money.

Not to mention that you'll likely get it cheaper off amazon. I'd trust Craigslist less, but that's me.

I'm sorry to see devs leave. This will be the issue ongoing for new vs. old devices and support. Eventually support for older devices is dropped, and you either get a new one or stick with the older one with less support. Anyway. I know it's rough, and I appreciate all the work the devs have done for the phone to work as well as it has. Your continued work is invaluable.

mantera hasen't left for XDA, and altho he is still doing somethings for the triumph he no longer has the phone, he now has a EVO, but he said he would be hanging around here, releasing the final cm9 build he was working on, and helping anyone he can or anyone who asks, which im down with lol

Hey everyone,

My phone took a crapper so I ended up getting it replaced and went with the Evo V. I'll post up a final build this weekend with what I got so far but I'm disappointed to say that it will probably not include a camera fix unless someone else who still has an MT fixes it in the meantime.

I'll still check back on the forum from time to time in case there are any questions.

Thanks for understanding.

I think you are confusing Gannon and Mantera. Gannon is on xda and won't be updating here.

Actually it was me that said I was leaving for XDA along with brandon. However I am still poking around here ;) [poke]

Anyone know of a fully supported cyanogen phone with front back camera full
video chat support, root friendly, large screen and HDMI?

Not off hand. CM7 never offered HDMI from the start, it's been implemented in CM9 however I don't know how many phones have a working HDMI and front and rear camera. Your best bet is to find a phone running ICS as CM9 is still in beta. Also I will be working on HDMI for CM7 once I finish the device files for CM 7.2.
