You sure about that?:eek: When I log into VW or my business site and set up to purchase an Incredible, my final price is $99 before tax on both sites...That's the rebate and the NE2 (-$100). I'm positive that I'll get the X for $99 as well...but if I'm wrong, I'll post back.:o

ETA, I see you guys have already covered this now that I'm caught up on reading this thread.
 
Going to try to hunt for the Seattle one.

Hopefully they don't do it in the am. Working the morning they going to look.

Not when I mock up a buy through VW or my bizz site...tax is only on what I pay.
$99 + 9.5% = $9.41 ($108.41)

I know others covered this, but I'd add my 2cents:

I'm betting the place you went to was an authorized retailer. They don't get any breaks for the NE2 credit, so more than likely would end up losing money on the sale. Commission is maybe $20 more for a NE2, but that is nowhere close to covering the extra $100 phone loss. When I worked for an auth. retailer, some other salesmen would use the $100 rebate is the NE2 credit or something along those lines.

TLDR: A corporate store will honor the NE2 and the rebate (some auth. retailers will also), as well as online.

I've never bought at an authorized retailer so either the policy changed or they are treating this type of rebate differently.

No, actually, I won't even read your posts that are longer than two lines because it makes my brain hurt. It's impossible to follow a narrative with no punctuation and no sentence structure.
