Is there a list of appropriate file formats? Do those digital copies that come with Blu-Rays work in the format that they are provided in?
The Galaxy S comes with support for many multimedia file formats, including audio codecs (FLAC, WAV, Vorbis, MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, AMR-NB, AMR-WB, MID, AC3, XMF), video codecs (mpeg4, H.264, H.263, Sorenson codec, DivX HD/ XviD, VC-1) and video formats (3GP (MPEG-4), WMV (Advanced Systems Format), AVI (divx), MKV, FLV). - copy pasta from wiki

I tried playing my digital copy of Iron Man 2 on my phone tonight and it is not working. When I try it, it says cannot play file and I get a DRM notification that says license required. Any idea why? It is in wmv format.

You have to remove the drm protection.

Yea, I just figured that out. Is it legal for me to remove since I obviously have the license to use it on one PC and one portable device? If so, what tool would you recommend to remove the DRM?

If you purchased the movie, it is fine. I use a DVD ripping program called Wondershare Video Converter that rips/converts file formats and removes the drm in one shot.

Is there a way for me to just remove the DRM from the digital copy that I just downloaded to my PC?

And yes I did purchase the movie.
