Help MS8 turns straight on when plugged in and freezes

Hi, about two weeks ago, I plugged in my MS8 (taken it out of power source evening before). It immediately lite up with blue triangle. Before, I had to use remote to turn it on . It now goes to Ms8 box, then to MBOX (Make your life colorfol) screen, and freezes.
I Googled, and UTube, and tried the resetting advice. It brought up the same screen as the guy on UTube, but my remote would not move, anything in any direction, at all, anywhere.
Is my box just dead?
