Root Need a tester real quick

Carbon ROM, got it booting. Gonna fix softkeys real quick. Not sure if data works or not, my phone is shut off haha. So far it only has one more problem than CM11, audio isn't working. I could create a WIP thread for y'all if you want it now but it is a WIP, still have things to fix lol
 
Is their a way you can get it working for the D321 variant I'm sick of the LG UI with limited storage space.
 
Me, no, but someone who knows what to do with VM's kernel to port it to your device, possibly. Have you tested CM for MS323 and the D325 (I think)?
 
I had made changes to the D325 port of CM it install successfully but ended up bricking my phone possibly because of the recovery which only works while your on fastboot. I could give the TWRP recovery a try they made for the D320n. But even if it did work it was still going to have the variant D325 not D321 on the system information even if I made changes to the build prop.
 
well yeah, if it doesn't boot when testing then it is more than likely a kernel issue with CM and it needs to be built for your specific kernel. Those are changes I think Chevan and vm worked out for the 323. If I would have helped from the very beginning then I am sure I would have a better understanding of what to edit to get it booting for your variant but at the moment I think either vm or chevan would be your best bet.
 
If I can get audio fixed then I will create a WIP thread for it, until then I will probably keep it down until I know it's somewhat manageable :D Already fixed data so at least that's working lol
 
Maybe i can try to fix audio...could u pm me the flash of what u have? I have a 323 already on cm 11
 
Hey mike so I would need to recompile the ms323 or d325 rom to make it capable for my variant? and just heard yesterday that twrp recovery doesn't work at all what do you suggest I do. Cwm doesn't work like I said only while on fastboot mode plus I get boot certification verify error when trying to reboot into recovery. I would ask Chevan or vm but I don't think they have the time to help.
 
Nah, you would have to build your own kernel the same way it was built for the MS323 but with your specific kernel source. I have no idea how it was done for our device since I wasn't fortunate enough to partake in the fun so I wouldn't be of much help either :(
 
Can u still send or post link to carbon ROM. I would like to test it and see I'd I can do anything over here
 
Mike I'm looking up how to build the kernel from source. Should I get the kernel source code from the LG site or get it from Chevan or vm and do you know how to add the kernel into the already build rom?
