Help Need help with my HTC Desire built in message widget

Hey all

I am trying to use the built in Messages widget. The first option (white background) works fine, but whenever I select the second option (black background) my messages show up, but the name of the sender is on top of the start of the message i.e its like

N(m)a(e)m(ssa)e(ge...)

and not

Name
Message starts

I have tried simply removing then adding the widget again, is there anything else I could to fix it?
