Help Need help with symbols showing on text

Any help would be great. When I sent a text to some one I get symbols on my list that shows a red triangle and and paper clip symbols show up. What does that mean??

message not sent and the paperclip is for an attachment.

I did a test to my other phone ...the test went was received but it still shows the red triangle on my phone. Also I do not know how to send an attachment. What do you thing? Thanks

when you tap in the box to type, hit the menu button and you should be able to add attachment. But do this first pull the battery for 3 minutes than boot it back up again.

What ROM ru running? Stock, or one of the CM roms?

Hi thanks for the response on attachments. I will use that when I every need to use it. I have another question if it is showing the red triangle and an attachment symbol what was attached when I didn't do it? Thanks

the red triangle seems to be a data issue but about the paper clip and you didn't attach nothing is odd but the ascend does have it's crazy days, also give Go sms pro a try from market, also put the phone in airplane mode for a few secs and see. im starting to assume there might be something wrong with the phone but also might be an outage also from metro, had that issue friday, problems with text and emails, but i call them *228 and press 0 and after a few minutes i was able to talk to a live person and had my data reset and all was good.
