Help New external sd card....

I've got an sd card for my s4 mini and swapped all the apps i could and put my pictures and films onto the external sd card no problem, but with my tab 3 7 inch i cannot seem to move anything across to it. Is there anyway to do it?

I have never rooted my devices before and i'm not sure id be confident about doing it.

Just seems strange why they would have an external card slot when you couldn't put anything on it?

Like I said before to your other post i doesn't have apps2sd if that's what you're specifically talking about.
 
I have a problem, I'm downloading films and tv shows but once i move them to my ext sd card they move but the they all go to 00:00:00 instead of however long they are.

Is there a way of moving them over that doesn't do that, or is there a way to just download them to my ext sd card in first place?
 
Use your computer to move them directly to your SD card. I've never had this issue before so I don't know. Do they play ok?
 
I've never done it via computer so I will try that tonight when I get home.

This morning I went into files then changed all the settings to ext sd and downloaded one, and it still went onto the device memory but when i put it over to the ext it still works.

I'll try the computer thing tonight though
 
Hi one and all...

Bought a Samsung tab 3/7 within the past few months and have been tring to come to terms with its OS ~ etc...

Not done too bad, but two things I cannot get my head around, are the process of plugging in ~ and using a memory stick to move files to (and/or from) the suplimentary SD card (@ 8GBs)... Have purchased a 'short' USB adapter cable, that plugs into the same inlet as the charger (hope thats in order) but nowt happens...

Any help or advice regarding these processes would be appreciated... I'm OK on PCs and the Chromebook, but have very little knowledge/experience regarding tablets... So basic ~ level-headed ~ stuff would be appreciated...

A tablet is just a bigger smartphone. Nothing too complicated about moving files between the tablet and the card unless you've never used a smartphone before.
 
Never used a smartphone Kagebeast... My mobile equipment has always been of the very basic type... So again, any assistance will be welcome as long as it's not too in-depth...
