Solution:
Download the x10i Flasher tool from here:
http://pashkovsky.com/x8/BASEBAND.rar

Follow the instructions to Flash your desired firmware.
Be careful not to make a mistake!
In less than 15 sec you can boot into your
pre existing ROM using the latest baseband!

PLUS Apps2SD work fine now!

I just clicked Flash and followed the instruction carefully. Then when asked to "unplug the device and power it on", i got stuck on SE logo.

Is there a prerequisite for this? Like ROM/firmware version and the like?

Just start over.Follow the guide to the letter and you ll be fine.
Mine worked ok the first time.
Lucky I guess.Hope you ll be fine the second time.Post here to confirm!
