What exactly do you mean by that? Are you getting an error of some sort? Are you not able to select it? Did you flash any ROMs? Did you have the beta, or are/were you using the version that came with the latest OTA?
as usual, more reading is the best solution. found a post that said to tap and hold an input area (I used google search) up popped a choice of input methods and swype has now been chosen. Once again all is good in EVOland.
