Help No mobile network widget since RUU flash.

So I'm back on unrooted Froyo after an official RUU flash but there's no mobile network widget like I know exists on other peoples Desire. My wife has the option to add an applications widget for it but I don't.

I used the most recommended file but it doesn't seem to be the UK official rom for unbranded handsets


Can anyone link me to the proper file I need and can I flash it again now it's unrooted?
