Notifications - looking for customizations to make them more persistent?

Hello,

I just can't seem to get my Android notifications to work how I would like. Mostly for calendar and tasks. But I'm hoping to get the notifications to be thrown in my face more, and if I don't click snooze, or dismiss, trying to get notifications to come back so appointments and tasks aren't overlooked.

Any advice or ideas would be appreciated.
