Is there a means to turn on screen buttons off when watching a movie?

    Thanks!

This question has been asked before and the answer was yes, with some ROMs. Unfortunately, I don't recall which, but a quick search of past threads ought to find you an answer.

I believe CyanogenMod has it and Paranoid Android for sure has it but you'll need to root either way.

Interesting. I'm sure I see the advantage to on screen buttons in that case. They eat screen real estate.

Strange, on mine they disappear after a few seconds of watching the movie. Play Movies - out of the box ROM.

They don't on mine. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Full screen mode on CyanogenMod or Paranoid. Press power button.

Mine did it straight out of the box. I can't find any settings which may change this either.

Yep, mine disappear when watching a movie, at least with the stock player and when in youtube. It's done this ever since the first ICS on the GNex.
