Online petition for firmware-upgrade to Android 2.0

I'm NOT signing. Not because I dont' want the update, but I've just lost faith with Samsung to upgrade our phones beyond Android 1.6 . Also, with them releasing GalaxyS soon, why would they potentially nuke future sales by releasing Android 2.0 on an older device?

I've almost settled with the conclusion that if you buy an android phone, you're almost stuck with the main version that your phone comes with. Like 1.x or 2.x . Hmm... perhaps I'll rant about it in my blog...

This is so old subject and petition so nobody takes that seriously any more.

Samsung won't update it. Period.

well, they wouldn't really nuke the sales of Galaxy S, because it is so much better hardware-wise. I really want a faster phone with more RAM, so I will get rid of my i7500 in about a year from now anyway, whether it gets official 2.1 or or stable GAOSP or not.

So newer phones will sell!
